Photo-realistic Screen Printing
We achieve photo-realistic results by separating the primary colors in the design and screen printing each one individually. Each color is printed one at a time and mixes as well. The result is a print that closely resembles the original image. It’s not exactly the same, which is why we refer to it as “realistic.” Screen printing is limited to a resolution of about 55 dpi. Achieving a 100% accurate reproduction requires a resolution of 1,200 dpi. This is achievable with DT-Film or DTG printing.
Despite this limitation, photo-realistic screen printing delivers incredible results. It is an ideal choice for highly detailed designs and perfect for large production runs. While DT-Film and DTG printing offer superior clarity, they fall short in speed and cost-effectiveness. Our automatic press has the capacity print up to 950 garments per hour (Depending on the design). This capability allows us to provide high-quality, detailed designs at a fraction of the cost of DT-Film, DTG, or embroidery.
So why isn’t everyone offering photo-realistic screen printing? It’s not easy! Achieving consistency in photo-realistic designs requires expertise and precision at every step. Everything, from separating the colors to preparing the screens, has to meet strict standards. Setting up the press is the final step before printing begins. Details like fading percentages, screen tension, and printing pressure all need to be precisely adjusted. We rely on the best software and the latest M&R automated press to ensure optimal results.
